Telemarketer – Future State Farm Representative Development Program

Looking for an opportunity to enter the insurance and financial services industry but don't have experience or a license yet? Start here.

As a part-time Telemarketer for Jose Rosario State Farm Agent, your primary responsibility is simple: Call → Connect → Identify Interest → Hand Off → Next Call. You will contact prospects from agency-provided lists, identify people interested in receiving an insurance quote, and connect them with our licensed team. This is an activity-driven position. You should expect to spend a significant portion of your shift making outbound calls. We're not expecting you to already know insurance.

Jose Rosario, MSFP, MBA, ChFC®, CPCU®, CLU®, WMCP®, RICP®, has served as a State Farm Agent since 2017 and has built an agency focused on insurance, financial services, professional development, and long-term customer relationships. Office location: 10249 S John Young Pkwy, Ste 110 Orlando, FL 32837. This is an in-office position. Before applying, please check the commute from your home to our office and make sure the location and part-time schedule work for you. Reliability and punctuality are important parts of how we evaluate candidates for future opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls using agency-provided prospect lists.
• Identify prospects interested in receiving an insurance quote.
• Warm-transfer interested prospects to licensed team members.
• Follow up on assigned leads and opportunities.
• Answer incoming calls when needed and route customers appropriately.
• Create tasks for licensed team members when follow-up is needed.
• Accurately document calls and customer interactions.
• Follow established calling, activity, privacy, and compliance requirements.
• Participate in coaching and performance reviews.

No insurance experience required. No insurance license required to start. We're looking for someone who:

• Is comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls.
• Can hear "no" and confidently make the next call.
• Communicates professionally.
• Is reliable and punctual.
• Can follow a structured process.
• Accepts coaching and wants to improve.
• Is motivated by measurable goals.
• Is interested in professional growth.

Previous telemarketing, sales, customer service, retail, hospitality, or call-center experience is helpful, but not required.

Telemarketer is the starting point—not necessarily the destination. Strong performers may be considered for additional training, licensing, and future positions such as Receptionist, Customer Service Representative, Account Representative, Registered Representative. Your potential path will depend on your performance, strengths, licensing, eligibility, available positions, and business needs. Advancement is earned, not automatic.

This position is with Jose Rosario State Farm Agent, an independent contractor State Farm agent. Employees of State Farm agents are not employees of State Farm Insurance Companies. Future positions may require applicable licensing, registration, training, and eligibility requirements. Compensation: $15.00 per hour.
